Dixie's puppies are purebred Miniature Australian Shepherds. Six beautiful Mini Aussies are STILL AVAILABLE to choose from - 3 blue merle tri males, a black traditional tri female, a red/chocolate traditional tri female, and a red/chocolate merle tri female. Nash, the sire, is pictured below in his profile where you can also read more about him. Both parents not only have amazing conformation, coat, and color, but they both have those amazing, human-like, sky-blue eyes! As far as predicted size, this litter will probably mature around the size of their parents - about 25-35 pounds. Not only is this litter beautiful and rich in color, but will also mature to be very intelligent, intuitive, confident, nurturing, fun, loving, highly trainable, and PRECIOUS. We are accepting $500 deposits now to reserve your puppy of choice, and the remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before any puppy can leave our home. Folks will choose their preferred puppy in the order we receive deposits. Dixie's precious pups are $2,000. This is the first litter between Dixie and Nash, and Dixie’s first litter of purebred Aussies. Her previous 2 litters were Mini Aussiedoodles. Since we adore Dixie so much, we wanted her to have at least one litter of purebreds like herself. This litter will be ready to go home in September.

Litter Sire - 3k Huckleberry Nash @Gemstone Ridge

Nash originally hails from 3k Aussies in Texas, but he lives in Spirit Lake at Gemstone Ridge. Special thanks to Jill for allowing us to use this fun, intelligent, confident, easy-going, charming, and handsome little guy to sire Dixie’s current litter of Mini Australian Shepherds. I’m really hoping to get to keep a PRECIOUS pup between these two. Nash is about 35 pounds and 16.5” high, at the shoulders. Like Dixie, he’s ASDR registered and his parents are Elite Champions. Also like Dixie, this guy loves his ball, especially the Chuck-It, and he can play fetch forever, but he’s amazingly mellow inside. He’s very even tempered, a real gentleman, and very affectionate. The first night he spent with us, he slept on top of us, but not anxious at all, just really loving, wanting to be as close to us as possible. He made himself right at home, like he owned the place. He has eyes like Dixie’s that seem to read your mind and tell you exactly what he’s thinking at the same time. We bonded so well I didn’t want to give him back to Jill.

North Sky’s Yankee Doodle Dandy “Dixie”

Dixie is a flashy blue merle-tri with tan phantom markings and a bit of white on her chest. She is about 25 pounds and 16" high at the shoulders. She is ASDR registered and health tested through Paw Print Genetics. She came to us from Illinois when she was 8 weeks old. She is the maternal nurturer of the house - a true Shepherd. She's always watching out for everyone in the home. She doesn't bump us with her nose or nip like some herding dogs, but she definitely is always aware where her "sheep" are and circles around the house to keep an eye on everyone when we're not all in the same room. She's great at using her nose to find who or what she's looking for. She loves to play hide-and-seek with the kids, and she enjoys turning whatever she can into an obstacle course. She loves to zoom- zoom on the trails, but she has an off switch, so even though I'm pretty mellow, she's not at all too hyper for me. She loves to learn and perform, and she's very confident and able. Dixie is as sweet as pie, and she always makes us smile. When we go places or meet new people, she convinces everyone she meets that she only has eyes for them. She's everybody's best friend, but if someone gets out of line and acts aggressive towards her sheep, she quickly nips it in the bud. She's a great referee, with great street smarts, and very intuitive, so we like to use her to teach all of our puppies proper play behavior and to introduce the puppies and our dogs to new people, animals, and situations. She is so good with babies and baby animals of all kinds - except maybe birds. She's a protective mama and shepherd. All of our dogs have temperaments, intuition, and compassion that make them perfect for therapy dog service, and have puppies that have gotten certification, but Dixie sure brings sunshine to any cloudy or stormy day.
