First Lady Melania’s Precious Poodles - Due July 2025
Melania's puppies are purebred Standard Poodles. First pick of the litter is still available, and they will be ready to go home in September. Knox, the sire, is pictured below in his profile where you can also read more about him. This litter should be very colorful, since both parents are tri-color, having different color patterns from each other, and both of them carrying a variety of possible color genes. Since Melania is a merle in her color/pattern, merle puppies are a possibility in this litter. I would expect a unique and colorful turnout between Melania and Knox. As far as predicted size, this litter will probably mature around the size of their parents - about 60 pounds. Both parent dogs have soft coats with lush locks, with those non-shedding, and hypo-allergenic Poodle traits in their coat that many people desire their puppy to have. We're expecting a litter that will not only be beautiful and rich in a variety of colors, but will also mature to be very intelligent, charming, faithful, loving, fun, highly trainable, and PRECIOUS. We are accepting $500 deposits now to reserve your puppy of choice, and the remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before any puppy can leave our home. Folks will choose their preferred puppy in the order we receive deposits. Melania's precious pups will range between $3,000-$5000, and prices will be set once they arrive and have been evaluated. Once folks have seen the pictures of and details about the new arrivals and their prices, those who have placed a deposit will be able to begin to select the puppies they want. This will be the first litter between Melania and Knox.
Melania is a flashy blue merle-tri with tan phantom markings and a bit of white on her chest. She came from a exceptionally striking and uniquely colored litter. In fact, we had trouble choosing between her and her sister, as they were both very flashy and beautiful in color, but we ultimately decided Melania was the perfect Poodle we were looking for. She came to us from Oklahoma when she was 8 weeks old. She gets complements everywhere she goes. Melania is about 62 pounds and 24" high at the shoulders. She is AKC registered and health tested through Embark. Her results are clear. She truly is the First Lady of the pack, as she's the classiest dog we've ever owned, and she knows she's "daddy's girl". She's not TOO highfalutin, though, as she's quite friendly and down-to-earth despite her princess status, and can be quite the tomboy when she wants to be. In fact, she'd make a great working dog. She's great at using her nose to find who or what she's looking for, and she could easily be trained to be a bird dog. She loves to learn and perform, and she's very confident and able. She's top notch at finding us when we play hide-n-seek with her and the other dogs. She also loves to go for runs on the trails. She can be silly and goofy, or calm and proper, depending on her mood for the day. She's appropriately mannered and is well-known and loved at the local Home Depot. This will be Melania’s first litter.
Sire - Hamilton “Knox”
Knox comes to us from Boise Doodle Co. Our thanks to Laura for allowing us to add this gentleman to our family and breeding program. Thankfully, she was looking to downsize at the same time we were searching for the perfect future sire of our precious Poodles and Bernedoodles. He's a wonderful addition. Knox is a chocolate sable parti-tri with copper points, more specifically, bb kyky atat spsp. This means he's a colorful guy that can throw a variety of rich colors and patterns. He is 60 pounds and about 25" high at the shoulders. Knox is AKC registered and health tested through Embark. His results are clear. His eyes have been examined (CAER) and OFA and PennHIP completed. Knox is a well-rounded, confident, intelligent, and loving guy. He loves his favorite toy. He carries it around, sleeps with it, and throws it around while playing by himself or trying to tempt the girls in the pack to play with him. He likes to play tug-of-war with it, too. He enjoys rides in the truck, going for walks, or a run on the trails, and he's good off leash and doesn't have a habit of pulling on the leash, either. Sometimes he gets in a goofy mood, and other times he's Mr. Chill. He will alert when something unusual is going on outside, but he's amazingly quiet and stops barking quickly when told to. He listens well, and like our other dogs, is an easy keeper.
